Default What I've been doing lately...

Some may remember me and my turbo project escorts etc. Well here's a little update..

Escorts at 15psi works, dropped valves seats do not .
Another project underway with a redone head and a lower compression combo using stock parts.

I started up my own shop and dyno here in Lakeland, it should be in the shop in 4 or 5 weeks or so. Just a Mustang gladiator dyno with the bike attachment and all the tuning goodies. I stopped working at the dealership full time to do this so hopefully it works out . I'm in conjunction with Cylinder Head Exchange of Lakeland and we have been doing up some pretty nice stuff. So if any of you guys need any headwork done Gilbert over at the shop is top notch on his work.

So yeap that's what I've been doing lately...lol

older 1.9 block, 2.0 head = 8.7:1 c/r ratio good for about 250whp on stock internals no one has pushed it further than that though.

Anything is possible, but to put the 2.3in is a beotch because the engine platforms are completely different. He would have to use the fwd transmission from a topaz or something to make that mess work or a custom trans adapter. The old 2.3 made less power than a late model escort as well, be much better off converting it to the mazda bp motor from the escort gt's. There's a guy in canada that put the 3.0 vulcan v-6 in there as well but it's entirely not worth the trouble.

If you want to get a little more go for cheap in one of those cars, buy a dsm manifold and turbo, flip it upside down and run 5-7lbs that will get you up to about 160-180whp w/out any problem .
