Joker, the reason we are in the shape we are in is because too many people in this country who were born post WWII have no idea what they have being a citizen of this country. They have no idea what it cost to get the freedoms that we have and what is takes to maintain those freedoms. That goes for foreign relations as well as domestic issues. I personally wouldn't have cared one whit if we had made a parking lot out of the entire Middle East on 9/12. But no, we are trying to repeat our mistakes made in Vietnam. It doesn't work. If you're going to be in a war, you need to be in it to win. Fuck the rest of the world and their opinions. Everything in this world boils down to a simple "Us against Them" struggle. The "Us" may be as big as our country against "Them" being "The World" . Or it may be as small as the Individual or your family against the rest of the world or the next door neighbors. In the end, the only thing that matters is your survival as an individual. You do what it takes to assure that. Sound harsh? You bet. But life is harsh and those who would take what you have are harsh. You better be prepared to reply in kind or you are toast.

So many Americans get their panties in a bunch because so many American soldiers are dying in this piece of shit war. Well, first of all, it really isn't necessary for a single American soldier to die it this war but that's another discussion. As for the cost of what we have in American lives, look up how many American soldiers died on just the first day of the Normandy Invasion. That's just one fucking day in a long war. I, for one, am damn glad they made that sacrifice. Without it we would have already been living in that police state that these people are talking about for the past 60 years.

Meh, / useless rant. The wusses in this country are hell bent on selling us down the river in the name of peace, love and caring. They won't know what they pissed away until it's too late. I'm a crotchety old fart but glad I won't be around (maybe) to see it when it happens.

 

ok yeah, i will admit, there have been some wars that needed to be delt with head on. but thats not the only thing at bay. we are trying to team up with people who only like us cuz are money was worth more then there's and we had some power over them.canada's money is now worth a bit more then our own. mexico is still under us but now is gonna become apart of us. now just think what this is going to do to our jobs. im not sure if there still called off, but, bourber patrol was called off and thousands of illegal immigrants just walked right over. so now 3 country's are one, cost of living will jack up higher then we had ever seen it. and pay rate is gonna drop like a bomb. people have talked about "we're in a lot better possition then the 3rd world country's"? well we're not that far behind. now out of all thoughs movie's and video games everyone has watched and played, dont ya remember what was going on in them? there is got to be a lead person in power of everything. once that person is picked, dont you think he's going to get power hungry? plus also just think. now after all these chips are put into every one just think what will happen if you break a little gay ass rule or law? your chip is shut off. now you cant get food, gas, you'll be seen driving but you dont show up on there computers? your now an out cast, and some messed up stuff is going to happen to you. it will be like nazi germany all over again. except this time, the whole world will be in on it. i think im jumping back and forth to much now. but i got to go and try to get a job interview or something. but please, do your homework, lookinto it a little bit. yes its been said for years but its already started.

Personally, I'm not too worried about a Mexican immigrant taking my job. If you are, then you should refer back to your job hunting thread, heed some of the advice in there and raise your employment skills level to a point where that can't happen to you.

As for the chips and Big Brother, that was supposed to happen in 1984. It didn't and it won't happen now or in the future. You need to find something else to worry about...like who is giving away your hard earned income to someone who doesn't deserve it all in the name of caring and humanity.

 

I'd be more worried about the middle easterners taking your job. Because they're taking jobs that are up into the 50-60k range. Fuck, I make 41k/yearly and the only reason I feel safe is because last time they tried to outsource my particular job it was a disaster, but that doesn't mean even my 41k/yearly job isn't still a canidate.

 

They can have it if the want to do it for less than I make. It would be good punishment for them. I'm going to be through with it in a few years anyway.

 

when the illegals start paying taxes...do you really think they will settle for lower wages??? They do work well.........but they are not stupid.....eventually as the live the american dream......they will pay taxes....and demand more pay.

 

Maybe - but there are a lot of people out there who just want to work a days work and get simple things like healthcare.
