Dunno if its been said, but the records generated by the background check are to be destroyed with 48 hours. With that said, the merchant still keeps a record of the sale for accounting purposes and the state may at any time subpeonia those records.

I really recommend you direct any more questions to the Shooting and Ammo group if you haven't already done so. Rock out with your glock out, nіgger.

Where did you find this info at?? Try to make this short.
When I was 18 I was stopped on Causeway beach by undercover Florida AT Agents. They had put me in cuffs for CCW because it was under the drivers seat (I was driving) They ask me if it was stolen and being the ass I am I told them to find out for themselves. I knew where it came from because I bought it new from a friends gun shop. After 5 minutes on the phone they told me who the gun belonged to and asked if my dad knew I had his gun. Hmmm, I dont buy they dont keep records.

The point is, there is no database that has your name, adress, DOB, SSN and a list of what guns you own.......you don't have to register guns you own, even if you have CWP....

Reading is fundamental. As in, read the second to last post I made in this thread.

the state cannot keep the records, however the dealer is required by the ATF (a federal institution) to keep records as long as they are in business.

and if you are gonna do that you might as well destroy the serial numbers. or run a big drill bit through the barrell to destroy the rifling marks

Have you ever got a non-approval??? I did a month ago, from a 10 year old misdemeanor charge. They (FFL dealer) give you a reference # at the dealer and the required paperwork with instructions about getting fingerprints and the phone # to resubmit when youve completed the process to get the approval, whats the ref # for if they dont keep records? They make the laws they dont have to live by them. They told me who a gun belong to within 5 minutes (in 1 phone call) and thats not second hand info or trying to decifer a statue, thats a fact.

790.06 License to carry concealed weapon or firearm

Im not going to copy what was posted but this isnt all the requirement or I should say what could get you a non-approval for a ccw or to purchase
