thats the truth !!! more parents need to SPANK (not BEAT) the kids , like old days you did not do anything wrong at HOME or SCHOOL cause you were scared to get your ASS BEAT!!!

I am the hardest on my children out of all their friends parents or people we know. Oddly enough my children are the best behaved and we are told this quite often. Sorry not ashamed to say this either.
Being a friend to your children is fine as long as they know you will flip ( and smack them down ) should they fuck up.

yeah i'm hard on my kids too, but i relize that my brother and i were harped on the hardest and were the two that are gonna make something of ourselves, the rest who knows??????? I hope they come around some day

I don't have any kids yet... But when/if I do - they will definitely understand that for all things in life there are consequences and reprucussions!
Side note: Children need not have a Cell Phone at 8 years old, nor do they need a MySpace, etc. I didn't have a C/Phone until I was 14. I had to pay for it myself w/a job that I had to get/find myself. I didn't get a computer until I was 12 (for school), and didn't get an AOL account until I learned the do's, dont's and "get your ass beat for this" steps...

Im 23 and dont have a cellphone.I refuse to follow what sociaty considers normal,that and im cheap.
