Default Officers put on leave after Tasering student

I'm sure everyone seen the start of this. If so, i think what they did was wrong. Yeah he shouldn't have resisted. But he did nothing wrong need to be arrested.

I'm not sure of the exact question he asked that brought the heat. But it seems like it was a legitimate one as he seem to have real concerns and not just some bs propaganda.

Meyers has a history of taping his own practical jokes and posting them on his web site.

On the site, Meyer also criticizes the Iraq war, and the news media for not covering the conflict enough.
He also lashes out at the American public for paying too much attention to celebrity news.

you need to watch the video then, before commenting on the situation; he did not ask one question; he asked a bunch, rapid fire, after the questioning was supposed to be done; he was rambling on being stupid and he was asked to stop, he yelled, then kept going; then they shut off the mic and he started yelling and being crazy, which is when the FEMALE cops asked him to leave, and he started being crazy, yelling and resisting; he DESERVED what he got; he was resisting; and it was PLANNED; he did it all for the video; and he DID need to be arrested; all they wanted to do was make him leave for being a disruption and he resisted; you resist the cops and disobey their LAWFUL orders, then you get ARRESTED; he admitted later the cops did nothing wrong.

Well i guess i must have seen a shorter one then you. From what i seen, they cut him off for no reason.

The senator released a statement Tuesday saying he wasn't aware the Taser was used until after he left the building and "I hope that neither the student nor any of the police were injured. I regret enormously that a good healthy discussion was interrupted."

At a press conference Tuesday, University of Florida President Bernard Machen said "the incident that occurred yesterday is regretful for us because civil discourse and dialogue did not occur."
Sounds like everything was going fine till someone got a bug up their butt and didn't want him talking anymore. On the part about trying to remove him. I would have become agitated also. They cut you off and try to remove you...for what?..asking a question or questions? Maybe he was not listening to senator that said next. But from the senators comments that doesn't seem to be the case. Even if it was the case and hes back pedaling now, the only people that really know what happened and was said are the people that where their.

Yes after a moment he should have just complied as your not going to win at that moment. But even due to the fact the he wasn't complying, their was how many? 6 officers? So your going to tell me 6 people can control one person with their hands and force him into the desired position? It should take two people at most to do this. This guy was not some big football player or body builder. Cops are way to quick to use their tasers. He was not a threat, he was just not compliant.

he's was you call a "passive resistor". it's completely lawful for them to use tasers at that point.

He wasn't just asking a question - he was purposely being disruptive. Regardless, he was asked to leave. He refused (ignored and kept being a weirdo). Officers tried to escort him out. He resisted big time. They couldn't use pepper spray because it would have affected other people. Their job, at that point, was to remove him, and they did what they had to to do it.

not just that, but more often then not, passive resistors become aggressive resistors in the blink of an eye. the officers made the right choice.
