The first time I heard "Don't Take the Girl" was seeing the music video. I bawled. Then Travis Tritt came out with the "Tell Me I Was Dreaming" video about the same time, I think. Bawled X 2.

Songs like that are why I quit listening to country.

but there's soooooo many more that are upbeat and fun! especially some of the newer stuff that's out right now.

Tracy Lawrence, If the Good Die Young Tribute to Allan Kulwicki and Davey Allison!!!! I'll pull out more soon. As for John that was basically my list too, i grew up on that shit on country 92.5 back home, you know what i'm talking about!!!!!!!

I listened to nothing but country until 98.7 came out. Then I was hooked on that! Only in the last year have I listened to new country again.

Funny..my dad, too. That's all he listens to. I used to play his old records..yes..records when I was a kid. Chubby Checker, Elvis, Chuck Berry. Used to love that alien invasion skit thing.
