Hey, I'm Chelsea. Just moved to Brandon, Florida from Kentucky. I drive a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege and I'm on about 20lbs. I joined this forum so I could get an idea on where the meets are and meet some people around the area.

Welcome to Tampa Racing.com.
Brandon is pretty good for car meets.
On Wednesday there is the Dollar General Meet, Formerly Kmart meet.

On Thursday there is an informal car show/meet at Ben's Restaurant on Hwy 60
near Walmart. Ben's has some really good French Onion soup. Later on, on Thursday
night there is a car meet at Autozone near Parsons, across from Burger King.
Stopping by will give you an idea of the type cars that show up.

Your hood looks like carbon fiber. True?

Yeah that was me lol. I plasti-dipped my hood I'm the beginning of this summer and its been holding up pretty nicely so I'm happy about that lol.

Haha thank you! I do get crap sometimes for being a girl with knowledge about cars, or people think I'm gay lol which I'm not. I've always had a passion for cars since I was little. My friends dad did a rebuild on an old Nova when I was 10 and ever since then my passion just grew more and more. I'm not big on old american muscle cars, but I respect them just like any other car. I definitely have a lot more to learn, however I'm happy with all that I know thus far

For anyone looking for some car stuff to go to, there are meets Wednesday
and Thursday in Brandon, and a bunch more listed here:

Jon, so far the Brandon meets are doing pretty good.
About 100 cars last time.
