Default New to the area

Hey I recently moved down here from NY with my girlfriend. We are both serious car enthusiasts and are looking for the local hang out areas. We are in the Apollo Beach area so if there are any local places that people go just to hang out and talk about cars and stuff we would like to know about them. I currently own an 08 Honda Civic LX, and my girlfriend has an 03 Evo. We are also interested in finding any local tune shops fairly close to the Tampa area, I've seen a ton on the forum page but I didn't see locations for some of them.

Thanks in advance, looking forward to meeting some new friends and getting back into it.

Welcome to the site.

EVOs are popular in Tampa so you'll be able to find something for them and Civic's well that goes without saying

LHT Performance is where I had my CRX tuned. I can def vouch for that shop along with several magazines that have done articles on them lol.

Bradenton Motorsport Park is South of you and that is a good 1/4 mile track.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.
