moving to tampa-from chi-town
hey all...first week of feb i'm moving down to tampa.
old roomate moved down in summer 07. drove his cts-v down with him...was feelin it.
so forward to a few years later...finally makin my way down to FL.
i drive a 08 mazdaspeed 3gt (white pearl) light boltons/suspension/brake upgrades.
94 civic ex coupe white h2b with some other goodies. mainly a street/hustle duty...long as i dont get hustled
soon after settled in planning on a pickin up a new ride.
what kinda racing goes on? drag/highway runs any twisties?
how bad are the cops with speeding and racing nitelife.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

I grew up in Oak Forest, I have relatives near and around your area.
I moved to Tampa in 2000 and lived all over Central and South FL since then. Now I'm over in the Cocoa Beach area. It's more relaxed here.

just an update for my current situation....
i shoulda been there late weds nite early thurs morning. but the storm 'up north' delayed me.
and my lady's father had some life threatening health complications he is battling. she had to hop on a plane and go home.
woke up to this weds 4 am. I was sooo loooking forward to this move. now everything is outta whack!
oh well..just need her father better....

You are going to love Florida. Come out to Street Heat and you will meet alot of people quickly. Moving is always a hassle but in this case, it will be worth it.
