Stock suspension? Is that what you're talking about? If so, you're wrong. It isn't safe for the most part. Usually blown and falling apart anyway. Better to replace it! I know someone that drifts with SOHC. I'm not debating that, but if she wants to modify her car I gave her some nice options, IMO.

I don't think people say "Oh it's a truck engine" to make it sound bad. The KA is a nice motor, BUT it is not anything different to have a KA-T anymore. I know quite a few that have it. Everyone has done something once. The nice thing about a SR is that it's easy. I guarantee you'll be spending more than $2,500 for a turbo on a KA running correctly.

I personally knew three people that has successfully put together a turbo kit for their KA and had it running as it should for under $2,500. One of them even did it for under $1,500.

Not saying it's easy, just that it can be done.

That's cool for them. I'm sure it can be done buying some used parts, but it probably takes a while. I was thinking brand new parts it probably costs more.
