Taking over Drift competition.............

This video, shot by MPGomatic, takes a closer look at why the motorsport made the switch from low displacement/forced induction to big displacement/naturally aspirated power. It's posted below, and as they say, there's no substitute for cubic inches.

big difference between an all aluminum, modern V8 and an older cast iron v8.
not all v8's are created equal. so to make the blanket statement that v8's are awesome from drifting is a big of a farce.

eh...

This is not your up-to-date fuel injected aluminum v8.. it is in fact a stroked 351 with a carb ..

yeah, that works because that is the kind of engine that was supposed to be in that car all along.

I don't know that I would say it would be a good idea to tear out a boosted 4 banger in place for a big iron block v8.

Agreed. LS1's seem to be most popular.

The LS series is pretty awesome, apart, with the crank out, you can walk around with the block, you can even get carbed intakes for them these days.
