I'm looking for some input on a course layout for the next Desoto practice. So, give me some ideas...

Here are some guidelines:
1. Course should be about the same for advanced and beginner, with an additional section (maybe bank and or something more technical) for advanced. I don't want to have to change the course or have separate run groups.
2. Staging needs to stay off track and in the staging area. So, consider that when thinking about where the cars would start.

Just an idea. Not sure if it'll work or not. Advanced class does the beginner class layout, then if they so choose they can do bank afterwards

 

need more corner type turns, and not just the long sweeping curves.

And do the cars have to go in that counter clockwise direction around the banks? is it cool to go the other direction?

even just changing that would mix it up some.

 

You can't go clockwise on the bank on the right half in case cars snap back into the crowd. But for the other side clockwise is ok. And I don't like tight corners because up till the last event my e brake hasn't ever worked so I'm not used to them yet lol. But those two first turns coming off the bank are 2 too many tight turns already

 

David is correct... you can't go clockwise on the bank shown on the right side of the picture. This is due to the sharp corner wall on the left of the staging lane. It could do some real damage to a car of hit at speed. So, its a rule of the track.
