Default Does this diff look welded good?

The welds are cracking and will have to have it welded better. You cant see the cracks but they are there...EVERYWHERE! I thought it would look more solid than it does. Anyone that knows what it should look like or has a comment please post. I will not let my friend install it untill we get it solid. Rob told me this is the mike ranlet welded diff came off seans cars with a pollished cover but this cover dont look pollished to me. Does it look pollished to you?

I will have it welded and plated for a piece of mind like so:

What polished cover?
Who would polish a diff cover?

Anyway, Yeah mike did the welding, and it has seen some events, but you need to post better pics, it looks like Radio took the pics for you

sorrento.

Roughly 2 years.

I'm no pro and their not always cosmetic welds but i get that penetration

I've never had someone snap one of my welded diffs... and i always say if it does happen bring it back and i'll reweld or give you a new welded diff. simple as that. and my prices are rock bottom. your bassically only paying me for argon and wire and electricity.

as a matter of fact i might have some 1/4 inch flat bar... laying around here somewhere.

I honestly think properly welded spiders are plenty but if you want it done with the plate i dont mind as long as you pay for the materials i use to weld it up.

you don't need to plate it, just turn the welder up more.
