wonder wat responce your gonna get from everyone since you posted in the drifting forum. i personaly think thats its diffrent skills even tho your pushing the car to its limit in either form. drifting is more of style than racing and well circuit is a race. you gotta be able to read what the car in front is doing and push him till he makes a mistake so you can pass.

Both.

You need to fully understand your car and be able to push it to the limit (yeah yeah, song just came on). Tandem driving takes skill to understand how the other driver is reacting, same thing with circuit. You need to read what is happening in front of you.

Great drivers can handle both styles. Look at a circuit driver, they are capable of handling a car in a drift as they encounter the breaking point of their tires or the effect of giving too much gas too early.

different set of skills. cant really compare fairly. BUT, a pro drifter can prolly finish mid-pack or better in his first circuit race. A pro circuit driver will prolly finish in last or close to it, in his first pro drift event.

either one at its high level of competition is nuts!

im pretty sure jamie mcmurray could do half decent at drifting after this 180ish mph slide at las vegas. not he only lost a few spots threw the whole thing
