"DRIFT-CLINIC" PRIVATE PRACTICE & TANDEM
Sunday October 12, 2008

Watermelon Capitol Speedway
Facility is situated on 100 acres of land 1/2 mile off of I-75 at exit 104 in Cordele, GA

Here is the deal.
Some of the local guys need one more practice event before the big Nov 1st Pro-qualifier down South.
If we wait any later there won't be enough time to repair should something happen at practice.
So this event is planned to be as convenient and cheap as possible.

No need to take off work before or after the event. You don't need a hotel room for the night.
Just drive to Cordele that morning, drift, drive home in the early evening.
It will be a Private day for JUST 20 CARS, you will get tons of runs and we will try at least one NEW layout.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
9:00AM - 10:00AM – Roll in, Registration at gate, and Tech
10:00AM - 10:15AM Drivers meeting
10:00AM - 5:00PM - Drift 'till you run out of tires!
6:00 PM - Gate Closes

COST:
$50 by PayPal only

Please include driver's full name & contact information, and car description in the notes of the Pay Pal order form. Spectators ($5) and Ride-a-long Fees ($10) can be paid in cash at the gate. Send Pay Pal payment to matthew.williams@bankofamerica.com

thats pretty cool, but who wants to pay $100 in gas to go there and back, plus the 50 bucks to drive. Desoto costs $20 and prolly has less than 20 ppl driving lol.

That can be true,
But, when people see that they have gotten good at drifting,
they usually feel the pull to other areas to see how they compare.

With the pro series coming up; everyone should try a little traveling soon.

But, everyone is different.
Just thought I would offer!

not knockin it, its cool that you guys actually are giving people a venue to do this instead of illegally endangering people on the street.

Have you ever driven an event before ever? Sometimes people get tired of driving the same track over and over. Desoto is awesome, but sometimes you might get tired of driving on a bumpy dirty track. Other people might be tired of driving OSW because of lack of infield. Some people may even want to drive a different track every weekend. You have to switch it up, and paying a little extra in gas might be worth it.

dont get a big dick dude shit not everyone is mad tyte as you, in fact the one time i went down to desoto (last time) the only "good" people i saw there were you and the rest of the carboard body kit crew. Given the fact that 80% of the people on TR can't afford the cost of desoto/osw do you think they are going to drive up to GA? not everyone here is "fortunate" or smart enough to budget themselves right (or are just too scared to actualy take their car driving). desoto is just fine enough for total noobs like me (for now), and trust me if i was at your level id hella be tired of the oval shits around here. how many people do you know in this forum that would make it up there? i understand what youre saying fully. hope i can get a ridealong someday lol and Good luck in houston btw.

Is there a driver's list yet, last time I went to cordele I enjoyed a nice southern buffet, 29$ hotels, and a whole bunch of other stuff. All in all it was an experience. A good Flat parking lot type event with a quick track setup, and the track doesn't eat up tires that fast. I would rather go to Cordele, and get a days worth of seat time, then go to OSW, and get three runs in all night!!

thats just my $.02

Not trying to be a dick, just saying this dudes trying to put word out for an event and you were only hurting the thread. I'm sure probably no one from around here would go to it, but it would be really awesome if someone did. That's all I was saying. stocksc300 and I went to a Cordele event last year, and it was like our 2nd or 3rd time ever legally drifting (we were n00bz), but we were like "fuck it, lets go". He ended up hitting a tree and then losing one of my wheels on the way home, but it was still a sweet trip. I need to get off here, I just took TR way too serious twice in one day haha.

Since this a private event and is limited to 20 cars; I am not posting an updated drivers list every day. I do respond by email to anyone that pays and will post a list when it gets close to full.

But, right now we are about half full. Mostly regulars from Jax and ATL are signing up early.
You will run out of tires with only 20 cars.
Its tandem or solo, whatever you wan't whenever (private days are a little informal); and we will be trying a few different course that day.

We are starting a little later than norm so people don't have to get hotels; but, your trip is a little longer than ours so you might; if needed we do allow camping at the track the night before. A few people did this last time and had a lot of fun.
