What did you use as buffing compound? I've used white magic with moderate results - works great on chrome, not so much on aluminum.

same thing i did with the lips on my corolla, though they were never polished, i scuffed them then took them down to 2000 grit wetsand

that shit take patients like a mofo. and some real determination. especially after giving it all on the first wheel. they progressively start to look worse and worse
