Any motor can be reliable and any motor can be unreliable. It depends on the owner and how the motor is treated. Take for example Jonas he has a KA that will rape most Sr's on this website and I bet its more reliable too because he does it right and just doesn't slam a T3 with a stock sidemount, no fuel or air control, and no fuel pump. Just because your friends blew with built internals doesnt mean anything. I used the same setup from a Redtop SR on my KA and it was faster than a stock Sr for sure.
You will learn one day just because you have a "SR20DET" doesn't mean you dont have to worry about anything. Every motor has downsides.

It definitely depends on who rebuilt it too!!!

The only good about 240's to me is that it was imported, and light weight RWD. That's all the good of it.
They break down alot too. Clutch master failing, overheating, crank seals leaking, etc. I had my shares along the side of the road, and i do my repairs and mods right, but the rebuilt parts seem to always fail after a few months.
LS6 or LS7 FTW or any new motor, not some 10 year old warehoused motor
My DD is my 2007 tacoma

Shouldn't this be relocated in the Nissan section??????????? It's got absolutely nothing with drifting.

Well, Some of the bads are...The cigarette lighter never works, The little plastic piece next to it is always broken and missing, The driver's seat always tears on the middle right edge, The gas/trunk handle comes off..lol..Anyone wanna add to that?
