I am moving there for school n about a month. wanted to know if anyone had any news on the track there and its drifting corolation? I herd some talk about monthly events or something. Someone fill me in please.

 

I keep seeing annoucements they are doing open events from time to time. Open for grip or drift.

 

yea i herd that a while back but it was on a wide monthly scale. I herd there strict. Not that great of a driver yet so i dont wana pay too much for little time. I herd soemthing about parking lots tho.

Did a Gainsville track day a while back, pretty decent track. The only problem is that the fat drag racing rednecks that run the event could give 2 shits about drifters. So, you only get 3 off's a day (meaning hanging one tire in the grass). Its tough because the track is barely wide enough for one car...plus, its really far away

 

The track is made for controlled driving, drifters come but for how long it takes to clean up the 3 run-off rule is good, because of the limited amount of time you get.

 

They have been starting to change it lately. Cause Drifters bring a crowd....and more revenue. So they want more and more drifters to come. Last week they didn't really enoforce the 3 off rule just because of that. But they did raise the price to 50 bucks. But ohh well.
