quite honestly as far as physics go, its as true to life drift style as you can get... I have yet to play a game on xbox360,xbox,ps2,ps3, any console that comes near it in physics, the graphics however are a little sketchy but if you have a decent gfx card the game rocks....

The demo, you have access to 3 cars, one track with a parking lot section for all your dorifto practice. The game is tits and the normal LFS player is a serious race enthusiast as it is a SIMULATOR....

Also has real damage including engine, tire and suspension....

It is defenitly not for the need for speed freaks, with all the rice bolt ons and bling colors....

not impressed with the gran turismo series??? I can understand the NFS being a disapointment if you were looking for realism. But Gran turismo? As far as physics go, its pretty much as good as it gets. Every other game that is close to real life uses a generic version of the gran turismo physics engine.... But then again, if you are looking for drifting, i guess gran turismo wouldn't be your thing cuz its real racing...

i can't wait to see what game is going to get the title of best drift game

^quite honestly, GT sucks as far as realism, but if your a gameboy kiddie console newb, you pretty much wouldnt know about anything other than that... so you cant be blamed.

gt is cool as far as customizability (is that a word?) of your setups, but for the most part any one adjustment made to a car is just a group of nothing... lower the car put sticky tires on it and 900HP and your a "real racer"????

plah.

I wont get into console vs pc here but to call GT "real racing" is a fucking joke.

I don't know much about your pc games. However, it is as close as you can get for console games.
real racing as in not difting. yeah you can go fast drifting, i'm not saying you can't, but if it was the fastest way, wouldn't we be doing a long time ago?
I agree that gt should have different/better ways to mod the cars, but that would require there being less cars. I think it would be great to see a gt that is specific to a certain make or group of cars. that way you could focus more on the different mods.
I don't understand why you feel gt is so far off. The same physics that are used in that game are used in various driving school simulators for F1 to the scca touring class, to circle track. The vast majority of games that are close to real use that same physics model. I have no doubt that other people have made different models, but the end result is relatively the same.
I'm also only talking about the physics, not everything else, like damage and what not. there are plenty of other games that do alot better job at all of that

Not the entire series either.
The earlier GTs, while they did set the standard at the time, were not as realistic as possible.
