Default Where can a boy go to drift?

Safely and on a track of course... I met a guy at work who is building a 80x80 yard skid pad... or might be doing 100x100 yards. Just for drifters to hit up. He is building in lake city. Up until then, are there any events like drift day or anything someone starting out can go to for LEGAL track drifting?

Well thats basically what this guy is building. I sell cars for ferman at a gmc lot and he was looking at used vette. The guy is buying a c6 z06 soon. Got 10 acres and is building a huge skip pad... and is going to pay 14 million for a 1/4 mile figure... all for drifting. The guy wants my advice on what to use to build and what shapes, shiiii like that. Anyone got good ideas. I mean lake city is like 2.5 hours away from land o lakes but i would go out and pay like 20 bucks to drift for a day shit. Anyone else have any input or ideas??

Mr. Ranlet can help you out on this. He's the organizer for dtrials around here.

My comment on this: That's cool and all, but heard it isn't easy at it seems to build a race track. Oh, 3hr drive for us tampa bay drafters seems a long way. Need something closer, but that most likely cant happen

He bought the land already and i mean of course it is going to be legal, all legit. Big skid pad and a figure 8. Its far, but as opposed to a legal place... its safer and better for sake of mind to have to drive that far and not worry about dying, getting arrested, wrecking your whip, or just getting your car impounded. Im just starting out and have already launched the s2 over a curb... For beginers it might be an awesome place to learn.

Possible autoxing or gyamhana (sp?) event? Those are fun to run. Like i said 3 hrs is a long drive. That's nearly as far as driving to Miami
