sights and smells, plus musical entertainment and exciting close quarters racing to this NEW effort. The gates open at 8AM for Fast Drifters-Formula DST practice and preliminary elimination rounds. Drifter fans can come early and see the preliminary elimination rounds, then return at 6PM for the Finals
for all classes. And, it will all end with the Fast Kids 25-Lap Feature, FasTruck Pro 50-Lap Feature, Fast Late Model A-Main Feature and the final rounds for the Fast Drifters-Formula DST, from 6PM till approximately 10PM.

The NEW Fast Drifters will compete for cash prizes, and an end of year
points fund just like the Fast Pros and Late Models do. While the Fast Kids
challenge for special race sponsor products and gift certificates. So take the
short drive south on I-75 from where ever you are in the Southeast, to exit #163 just outside Ponta Gorda, FL. See the beginning of the NEW way to do the business of racing, Fast Media Group style. A minimum of 30 drifters, 20 FastKids, 30 Pro Trucks and 20 Late Models are expected to battle for the money, the glory and the lime-light in what is the NEW "Fast Media Group Extravaganza."

Great PR you have going there. I think the point isn't that "ovals suck", but rather that a series composed of all ovals shouldn't be portrayed like a savior to the drift world. IMHO, offering oval events to drifters is like offering ovals to 1/4 mile drag racers.

Never have I had the "holier than thou" attitude that you are implying, and never have I "stood around bitching" without doing anything about it. Am I knocking DST? Did I say that DG was the savior to drift? Am I even comparing DG and DST?
DGTA lost our main venue and another comparable location has been acquired yet, but I am working on it.
This will be the end of this - all other BS will be taken care of via PM between you and I.

Everyone is just hating on ovals because it doesn't take much skill to drift one. But, it sounds to me like your just in it for the money. In which case, ovals are perfect. You will get long showy drifts with lots of smoke and hopefully some crashes. The drivers might hate you but you'll make lots of money. And that's whats important right?
It sounds to me like you'll probably get your 40 drivers. Good luck getting experienced drivers. It will most likely be a bunch of newbs who don't know what they are getting in to. But hey, that doesn't matter either right? In fact it will only make the "sideshow" better!

BTW: Don't bash DGtrials. I have been to drift events in the U.S., Canada, and Japan including a DGtrials event at OGP. IMO DGtrials puts on some of the best events anywhere. Show some respect.
