You really don't understand how this works, do you?

"Secured" means that the owners have agreed to hold events. Dates have not yet been established.

A full Drift Track won't be up and running until early 2008 due to FL red tape, but it entails more than 30 acres of smooth, unobstructed pavement (that's like 2000' x 650').

I'm driving to the Miami area on Sunday to scout a spot at which I've allready gotten the go ahead hold events in addition to 2 or 3 other places that seem promising. If this spot is big and safe enough to hold events, we can have one within a month or two, no ovals required.

Damn right. If we were to use the whole space we could have 10 simultaneous track layouts and just let people go from layout to layout. Can you say "drift fleamarket"?

I'll talk about this more as the time approaches. For now, back on topic.

I like bobby, real nice guy, the motivation is there, I just think I may start focusing on driving rather than rallying support. Then if it goes under, I get pulled under as well *_*. I'm a driver, thanks paul, I agree. In the mean time, here is the latest email about the series:

well, I hope this series doesnt end before it begins, Bobby is a great guy who wants to help us get a venue! He sees a future in the sport as do alot of you out there, Just because its an " Oval" doesnt mean its bad, its safer and more legal than the street...
We arnt super " Pros" like some people (people who should be supporting the sport in any way possible)so I say ovals why not, we dont have people throwing road courses at us to race on and if its going to be a few years till one opens then why not. Parking lots are great but thats a big insurance risk for the business thats letting us use it as well as down time for there establishment.
Alot of places dont like that idea...I have tried to get a few BIG lots and corporate BS leads to nothing all the time, even when they are making money in the end.
The people at the last event had a great time ( from what I was told) theres always 30-40 cars at OSW events...so why not charlotte.?

USE CONES TO MAKE THE STRAIGHT AWAY TECHNICAL AND LINK INTO THE INFIELD AND stop the damn oval whoring christ its not that friggen hard!!!!!! then that way you won't have ppl crying about oh its an oval wah wah wah.. block the sweeper off and make a course, that's the easiest damn solution to the problem if you can't find a real track or parking lot.

i dont understand why you guys or Rob from shiftlock do this. people will gain so much more than big left turns all day plus it looks better and is a lot more fun.. but i guess if you are just in it for the money then screw it right?
