If you're a connoisseur who appreciates cars for what they are, then why do you hate Hondas?

i like honda's, but only really clean done up ones with good taste. i almost bought a 01 ITR bran new. i also like the s2000 alot and wouldn't mind having one. but for the most part honda owners are a bunch of ricers, not all, but for the majority. amd its the same thing as my brother said, its all been played out. its really hard to be original in the honda camp. and fwd is just not my thing. although i would like a si eg hatch with a complete itr conversion including suspension and brakes for a daily driver.

"To understand the ongoing assault by foreign automakers in the United States, look no further than the traditional car market.

If sales trends don't change dramatically, Toyota will sell more cars in the United States this year than each of the two brands that have dominated for a century: Chevrolet and Ford.

It would be the first time a foreign automaker has held that mantle and illustrates the growing impact of Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Hyundai, all of which continue to expand their domestic lineups and manufacturing capacity.

On the passenger car side, Toyota, excluding its Lexus luxury brand, sold 520,991 cars in the United States through July, about 20,000 more than Ford and nearly 47,000 more than Chevy, General Motors Corp.'s top-selling brand.

Toyota, whose North American manufacturing headquarters is in Erlanger, is no stranger to first place. Its Camry sedan, which is built in Georgetown, Ky., has been the best-selling passenger car in the United States for five of the last six years.

Sales this year of all Toyota car models - excluding the upscale Lexus models and minivans, sport utility vehicles and light trucks - would surpass Chevrolet and Ford based on sales trends.

But a spokeswoman for Toyota Motor Sales downplayed car sales leadership.

"It's still early in the game. We still have four months left in the year,'' she said.

For Toyota, which began producing the Camry in Georgetown in 1988, winning the top car nameplate title would ratify its strategy to design and built vehicles tailored to the North American market."

im not sure if this has anything to do with poor domestic quility. idk, take a geuss.

Aha. Your animated sig GIF gave me the impression you just hated them outright. I know what you mean about it being hard to be original with a Honda. The same is increasingly true for pretty much any marquee that has plentiful aftermarket support, I think.

I don't have a problem driving a car that's been done to death, though, because i'm not trying to be especially original. I just want to autox and get faster with my daily driver. That means reliability and minimal downtime. I appreciate the R&D that's been done on the Ek platform because it means that even though I'm driving a "mee too" car, the practicality of finding parts and people to talk to who've found solutions to common issues outweighs being the only one with X car.

what???????.....hahahah i thought that gif in my sig was funny as shit. but i'll stick with my rolla, the simple fact is their aren't many of them around, and for the most part the morons stay away from them because of the fact that they are so hard to find parts for when they do break. and it pains me to see a fag get one then destroy it. but as long as i have mine i'll be alright. the rarer they get the more mine will be worth. and the fact that this car was only brought to the states for 3 years makes it a classic no matter what happens. and no one can say i jumped on the ae86 bandwagon. becauee i got the car in 98 before i knew what drifting/ initial d or even JDM was.
