For those that tend to think shops/businesses should match Joe Schmoe's prices that a regular person posts on a thread, think again. When I say research, I mean any ADVERTISED prices from a BUSINESS, not that they have 1 in stock and are blowing shit out.

That's because 865 is cost or only nominally more. The only way to possibly get them for less than cost is to either price gauge or get a considarable group buy together.

 

just want to clear that the ksports are also dampening adjustable, pillowball mounts, same sort of warranty (one year) and ksports are rebuildable in the us, where megans cannot. megans also use steel for their brackets and pillowball mount, where the ksports are aluminum in those parts. ksports are also capable of being ordered with different spring rates from the factory (up to +/-3kg, depends on application without voiding the warranty)

the guys over at aci and sac have already seen the ksports in person. i have one set here, and it's quite nice

but i am not bashing the megans. megan adjustability clicks, where the ksports do not(rumor has it that is because they are prototyping a edfc type hardware) megan have been around plenty longer and have shown great quality for the buck. and ksports are more expensive. both have a regulated advertised price. megan is priced at $900 each, where ksports are priced at $960 each.

if anyone interested in giving ksport a shot in the community, give me an pm/im/email, i am selling a set at near cost, just so someone in the community will have them.

 

Well I'm pretty sure D2 and Ksport coilovers are extremely similar, if not made by the same company. I rock D2's and for $800.00 (group buy price) I love em. Others prefer Megans, which from what I've seen, do just fine as well. I've been told I should have just gone with Megans but we've all got our opinions. I'd reccommend D2's if you could find them at a good price.

 

i saw the ksports in person and they look really good, not shabby at all. but if it were my money i would prolly take the deal on the Ksports cause you can order them with stiffer spring rates and i wouldn't mind tring them out to se what they are like. but my megans due fine. mine are the street, my brother has the track specs and they are WAYYYYYYY stiffer. not great for daily driving. my streets on full soft feel better than a spring and shock combo.
