We've talked about good tires for drifting, now let's talk about the bad ones, you know, the ones that chunk out, or dont last as long.

I dont have much experience with drifting tires, but so far, I would have to say avoid the Continental ContiSport. These babies chunk out...not good drift tires. I went out one night, and took a few drifts, and JC did a couple of awesome drifts, then these tires started to fall apart quickly. DONT GET THESE.

 

my roomate had those on his bmw for a while, no grip at all.
kumho 712's are like racing slicks compared to these.

 

i second that. continentals suck monkey ass.
i did like two awesome drifts on 50%treads and a whole ring of tread blocks separated and left nice pretty black scuffs down the side of my car. they are pretty smokey though

 

Yeah, i too like the amount of smoke that it gives off, the cool tread blocks, but there are far better tires out there than these to drift with.

 

No one else have any bad experience with a certain brand/model of tires?
