Default Illegal car running in events

Does it matter if your car isnt street legal for these events? Im assuming no since it is a closed course. But i just want to make sure.

i dont think it matters as long as its safe and not excessively loud.

Steal a car from somewhere, bring it to the event, drift the hell out of it, ditch it in the middle of no where, light it up, and leave.
The car just have to be running, battery tied down, and some other crap. If you ever been to an drag strip or some other racing/car events, more than half of the cars MUST be transported on trailers because they are street illegal.

Why not? No one gives a horses dookie if you push start a car at the event, just passing the vehicle safety inspection is all it matters.
