Why not? That's how we do it in WA. It's not about just inviting your friends. It's more about inviting drivers with event experience so that the event can run smoothly. At our events you have to have at least 3 autoX/drift events under your belt before your allowed to attend. This ensures good seat time for everyone. I also suggest an area for figure 8's and donuts. Just because someone has done 3 events doesn't mean they won't cause a traffic jam on the course. I say go for it Matt!! You should come up to one of ours sometime

as long as its based on a min number of events and then be voted on by event coordinators it should be fine. Lets say 3 or 4 events- with 3 or 5 people saying yes or no, the list should be made quickly.

invite only is ok as long as it isnt biased toward people you dont 'like'... but if they are a douche, then dont take them, attitude is another criteria needing to be considered to be allowed in.
