^^^theyve been done for sooo long haha people who still try to sell them usually just want to hang onto your money for a bit. I want to be one of the first to rock out with some super drifts w/edfc. But Well see how that works out. Id go with megans, just because of the numerous positive reviews ive read abotu them, none being bad.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. If anyone has any info or personal experience with Super Drifts, please respond.

So what if they are discontinued? Doesn't mean they aren't good. Tein still supports them with rebuilds and such. Discontinued to me just means cheaper. I got mine like 6 months ago for $1000 brand new. Maybe I'm just defending them because I have them Either way, good luck.

Which ones? Street or track?

I really like the Tein HE's. I wouldn't refuse them, but I thought it'd be safer to purchase from a dealer.

super drifts are up there with FLT A2's and tanabe DD's.

you can't really compared bottom of the line coils to top of the line coilovers

regular

Tein Basic / Megan Street / Megan Track / KTS / Apexi N1-EXV

mid grade

Tein HE / JIC FLT A1 / Cusco Comp 2 / D DRUG /

premium

JIC FLT A2 / Tein Super Drift / Tanabe DD / Cusco Comp 2R / HKS Hypermax D' / Kei Office / Apexi N1 Pro /

Lets get into my personal impressions of each

Tein basic - suck fail don't buy
Megan Street - decent for the money, dampening leaves much to desire
Megan Track - don't bother
KTS - does not go low enough, decent ride, decent hardware
N1 EXV - same as megan street
Tein HE - best bargain , dampening leaves a bit to desire, good learner coilover, goes low with some work
FLT A1 - good dampening, nicer hardware, best for street and track in this category goes fucking low
D DRUG -goes lowest, has craziest dampening, external resivoir so you can go low, 40 clicks is too many
Cusco Comp 2- good coilover, nice all around, hard to service in usa
FLT A2 - best dampening, awesome service in usa, nice quality, goes loowwww
Tein Super Drift - dampening is nice, spring rate is stiff, good quality, teins flagship for s chassis
Tanabe DD - most baller coilover for S13, dampenign is amazing, goes fucking low, oh did i mention goes low
Cusco Comp2R - another very good coilover feels stiff yet damped nice
HKS Hypermax D - very stiff very nice setup, uses nitrogen i believe expensiveee
Kei Office - never used these, drift factory is dealer, its keiichi so it must be half way decent
Apexi N1 Pro - favorite coilover of many over in japan, only ones i rode in felt awesome stiff yet firm, not bouncy.

JIC's because of the dampening are awesome on the street. make sure you take care of them and torque everything to spec on them, though

as you can see with matt's basic overview on the coilovers... it really depends on how much of a set up you want...

i am not tyring ot be a pro or do some really fast drifting... so i am fine with my megan racing coilovers... so in my case, being my daily driver... and for the buck i spent... quality and price the megan racing's fit fine for me
