if your used to P/S you don't notice the loss in road feel. my 240 has p/s and i can feel everything the front tires are doing. if you want good feel in the front with powersteering you need to tighten up some things 1st. like your T/C rods, tie rods, and springs and shocks. rack bushings help alot too. you just can't react fast enough in drifting with out it. its jsut not worth the trade off in control.

i cant say what bill said any better

this is so true in a 240sx

in a corolla, it takes alot of supporting mods, but non power steering is the way to go with a corolla, when everything is set up right, and its a lot of work to do it (at a really competitive level)

in a 240sx - PS FO LIFE

It's alright if you have a factory non-powersteering car. If you have a car with powersteering and it goes out, no fun at all.

Somewhat related - doesn't some version of the MR2 have an electronic power steering system? I'm thinking like a driver-variable power steering system: crank it up for the street, tone it down for feedback on the track maybe?
