Default What's a drift?

I do not want to come off sounding like a n00b, but what is the drifting? My friends say that I do it all the time in my Road Runner, if I get on the gas to hard it tends to break my rear end lose, and it swings around, it happens all the time, and they say that I'm drifting when I do this, is this true? I really have no idea what drifting is, but it sounds pretty cool.

Okay, drifting is when you try and make your car oversteer as much as possible yet still keeping traction to the front wheels so you keep control of it. Don't get confused, fwd cars can slide the assend out but the are not drifting. Try and get as much whitesmoke off those tires as possible yet still keeping control of the car around a turn.

as long as it's not all sloppy and crap, plus a nice smooth exit no jolting of the body once your exiting the turn is good also good. It's really not a good idea to do it on the street...
