to be honest with you you should take my advice
if your looking to build up that thing (sr20 near future, or ka-t or ca18 .. lol who does ca18 ne more... but ne ways, sr20,ka-t, or rb (gay i think rb) but you should really take that thing apart and sell the OEM parts, there are tons of people looking for extra parts, you just wont get as much for the engine parts
if your looking to build it up, you should go with a 91-94 because you have to change some lines, the tach, and different such for the sr swap, and turboing that sohc engine would be a waste, so youd want to do a 91-94 dohc swap in it....
youd just be better off to take it apart and sell it, seriously, then buy a decent clean running 240 for under 2k, you can probly get a hawt coupe to which i like the best :\ just IMO mang...

No offense or anything, but we're all happy that you have an SR. That does not mean that you're an expert by any means. No where in this thread did Kardon mention performing a swap or build. Again, I don't mean to be an ass.

this thing is going to remain fairly stock for now, im only 16, and have no use for a swap, but if i did do a swap, it would be the CA just because im tired of people bitching about how cool the sr is and all that. but im not going to sell it, or rip it apart, this isnt a track car, its just a car. granted im going to try to drift in it, but thats not its sole purpose.

ew CA is looked down upon, shitty bottom end, less hp, less displacement....sr offers bullet proof bottem end, a very stable block, and has more stock hp
why do you think people do SR swaps instead of shitty CA swaps

sr's are definitely not bullet-proof, just ask matt vasssallo.lol. plenty of sr's get blown. just like any other motor. the only thing wrong with doing a CA is that the parts are gonna be harder to find if something does break

Just a totally uneducated comment.
Now tell me, who all looks down upon a CA, other than yourself, and maybe some motor suppliers who are being sales people and want to sell you an over priced SR?
