Lightbulb Building a new Toy

Hey guys...getting seriously into trying to compete.. I'm bored at work right now throwing together some ideas. I will be building a full drift 180sx and a full D coupe. Of course not the actual 180 blah blah ya'll know... But for you cronic drifters i have a couple of questions...

1. I am not sure what the best yr for the 180sx conversion would be??.?

2. Is there any good shops around tpa or a friend that does cages? (like i said i'm at work and am limited to the amount of web surfing for info) whats the d-spec cage's spec. pts?

3. Is there any booklet or website that has alll the safety regulations and requirements for competition?

4. Do you guys get together to touge or what?!! (PM me)

Any assistance would be appreciated! I already have motor set up in mind also but drivetrain opinions are helpful.. thx guys

p.s. Look foward to updates w/ pix of the project.

Bill

You'll have to wait longer than 13 minutes for a real response!

1. 91-93 saves trouble with power steering.
2. Talk to Enjuku about cages. They get them through mazworks and they are awesome. The Enjuku twins run them.
3. There really aren't any rule book from what I know. Have to have a helmet and a car that isn't leaking or falling apart. A cage for tandem, too.
4. No idea.

Hey Blurbo SI, talk to me on aim - Enjuku Matt - or pm me. we can discuss more things about how you want to build your competition cars. We just finished building our twins for 2005 Formula D, and Yes, there are rules.
