actually that isnt a stupid question at all, ive wondered the same thing

but i think that the bags would eventually rip over time with all the vigorous use

I think the problem is "spring" stiffness. To make an air ride system firm, you'd have to pressurize the system more. That would also raise the vehicle. There's a Praxis air system for Impreza's, but it's very expensive and very complicated. Actually, SCC just ditched theirs for regular HKS coilovers.

I've heard of some air system, not sure if it uses bags, but there using it on wrx's and like it has three heights...for track, sport, and driving...something like that its really pricey though...pretty nice as well

allso i was thinking hyralices and short cycleders so at full hight it would be about stock ride hight. i thought about this becuz lets say i baged the car and i was to drop the car(leting all air out of cyclenders/bags) and was to lift the car in the air the tires would drop wouldnt they? becus there is nothing in the cyclenders/bags to keep them sucked in. i say this cuz lets say im sliding to the left yes the waight would be on the bags on left side of car but wouldnt the right side wanna lift up? like body roll i guess? with dralics i dont think u would have this problem.

now lets see how meny ppl understand that lol
