still kinda skeptical. called the 888 number, which i guess is the main fastlane line. but the sectretary told me i had to call another number which isnt an 888 number so i didnt want to call long distance. if someone else wants to call long distance then the number is 661-284-1233.

Matt, think about it, do novice drifters have that kind of money?

I never said it wouldn't be worth it.

novice drifters are going to spend that money one way or another.

wehther it's trespassing warrants

hours they spend trying to find good spots ( time is money )

money they spend on tires mounting balancing etc

exhaust tickets

careless driving tickets

etc

Hmm... you seem to contradict yourself at times. I agree, but like you've said... rain drift and choose spots wisely.

Anyway, even then local events are cheaper. You're going to spend money on tires either way, unless you're sponsored.

stock exhaust. know a couple of places to slide. i mount and balance my own tires. the careless driving part depends on how lucky i am. i really dont like to go sliding around illegally. i feel really uncomfortable with that.

hmmmm....The site with the schedule hasn't been updated in over a year now....

And if you check there current schedule (under the "Book It" link), you will see NO courses set up for the remainder fo the year (as far as drifting). I think eventually, there will be schools though, and I look forward to them. It's always nice to have an alternative "legal" way to learn, especially from instructors.

Same here! I always feel extremely nervous and uncomfortable. For the time being, until another drift event is held, I'm going to regularly attend the auto-x events.

I still think the prices are a bit outrageous. Not that it isn't a good thing. It's definitely a very good thing that schools are opening. I'd love to do it if I had the money! I just wish I didn't make a lot less than that every week.
