Default Drifting Muscle Cars.....?

Has anyone ever seen this done controllably with old muscle cars? Also, how dangerous would it be to do it in stock form (high suspension, heavy car)? Is there any reason it coudln't be done, and what sort of special steps would have to be taken in modding a car like this (let's say a Chevelle)?

There was an article in C&D a few months back that featured the new GTO fitted for drift competitions. Apparently some of the import crowd were initially less than supportive of it.

Are you getting the Chevelle back from the mechanic or something?

well for one
create supeme center of gravity, as in stiffen the suspension and lower the hell out of it....then get frame braces, and if possible a four link in the rear

there is a guy that takes his el camino out to drift events and kicks everybodys ass
it was on this site before i dont feel like looking it up though

i dont know how to stiffen up leaf springs so you might want to check that one out

thats about all i can tell you

oh yeah get the engine to make lots of torque cause the weight is gonna reduce excess wheel spin and your gonna need a shitload of wheel spin
