Coilover perches won't fit KYB AGX's - what to do?
I tried searching, but nothing relevant came up - yeah this is technically a double post, but I doubt that anyone from the Honda forum checks here or vice versa.
I just got a set of KYB AGX top-adjustable dambers and some WeaponR coilovers. Everything on the front looks totally awesome, but on the back the coilover perches just slide right by the spring perch on the shock housing and settle in to the bottom where the spring mount is welded on. This is becuase the diameter of the spring perch on the shock housing is much bigger than that of the coilover sleve. Is this supposed to do this? I loose a good 1.5" of height adjustment, making me think that it's not supposed to sit that way. I suppose that I could thread the lower sleve on just enough to sit on the spring perch and use the upper sleve to modify ride height, but that's all sorts of ghetto and asking for things to break. Is there a OEM piece that I could modify or move to a lower location to act as an adapter between the coilover sleve and the shock's spring perch? Has anyone had this problem with any other coilover perch and damper combination?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated - I'm supposed to go to the garage up here on Sunday and install everything with the lift...
Thanks a TON in advance!

You had me at WeaponR. Seriously, the last time I touched a set of those was 2000. And then, I washed my hands thoroughly. I did have to remove the protective cap on the top of the strut to use them, though.
From what I've heard the WeaponR's are about the same quality as just about any other street performance coilover. Yeah they're no Ground Control but I don't have that kinda money to spend...
The problem is only on the rears, and removing the cap is a good thing to be aware of - like I said, the fronts couldn't have better fitment.
If I can't make an adapter kinda thing to go from sleve to spring perch I think I'll just let the sleve slip down to the bottom of the shock's spring perch and do my best to keep it from movin around or putting too much stress in one place, but I don't want to have anything break by doing this....
Regarding the Honda guys on this board - they suck for tech help, plain and simple. I'm sure I'll get a lot of flak for saying so, but it seems like the majority of them are off in their own little Honda world and just want to tell how to biuld your car or ask "why" when you need help with something simple.

as for drifting, I dunno. Hell stick with the agx's and some H&R race springs. Those will work just as well.

They're something like $120 list price but I got them on Ebay for around $65. The Ground Controls and KYB/Konis are about the best setup you can "make", although a one-piece coilover/damper unit like Daiyama or Zeal will be better for continuity's sake.
My main objective was to be able to maintain stock ride height so I don't have to use the crappy ghetto camber kits that people make for the CRX/EF Civic, but I'm not so sure that I'm going to be able to now since my adjustment is limited in the rear. I may just lower the the rear substantially more than the front, which could help on oversteer...
I'm kinda surprised that nobody said anything about my "Honda guys suck" comment.

when you drift.. nasty camber shouldnt be a problem. Actually its encouraged. Saying Camber correction in a Drift forum is funny...
