Default damn falken!!!

in order to get a sponsor by falken

Evan,

It was nice meeting you in FL. Seeing young drivers like you and Ken Gushi makes it very clear to Falken Tire Corp that drifting has a very bright future in the US. At this point, we are working on assembling a small team of dedicated drivers to support. The prerequisite is as follows:

Attend and compete at all 4 Formula D events
Attend a minimum of 2 Falken Drift Showoff events

I know you have only been drifting for a short time, but your potential and skill is quite obvious. Keep us updated on your progress and your future plans. Take care and be safe.

Regards,

Nick Fousekis
Performance Marketing Manager
Falken Tire Corporation

god fucking damnit. money money money.

What did you think they were going to say? You can't have a close to stock car and expect sponsorship just like that.

no their sponsored drivers get an X number of tires per event at no cost. 10-16 tires or so.

pshhaa, and you can say your sponsored by Falken! That your now a big dog. That's cool you only have to compete in the comps and not win them or place high in them.

In motocross you have to send in your results for the past year with your wins/losses and position to get any kind of sponsorship. They don't want to sponsor people that suck. Go figure.

I guess though to be in the Formula D Events you have to qualify, so that makes sense.

Well no normal crowd member is going to be gawking at funk, he doesnt make huge plumes of smoke with an SR powerplant, he dsoent have totally redicilous body modifications and flawless paint...

Last of all hes not in front of the "unknown" crowd.. Doing tampa bay and FL events just shows the sport to locals and people who already drift, it hardly spreads falken's name.

Sorry to hate funk, but I'm just showing why big business has to hate, its just not a good investment to give tires to you in their eyes.
