harness'ss;ss;ss
ok. so i hear from some people that bolting the harness to the floor of your car is bad bad bad. and i hear from other people that there is nothing wrong with it, especially (or only) if the belts come above your shoulders. because if you get in a crash, and it moves the harness mount on the floor, it will pin you in...
also att dday, you wont pass tech with a harness if it is not bolted to a cage.. what i heard..
ellaborate some1 please..

This is true. Harnesses that are not properly fastneed will not pass tech.
Reason being, that there is dirt and grass at primus. If you catch a bunch of speed and slide completely sideways off the track, there is the possiblity that you could flip, if the car is low enough, the angle is right, and a butterfly in japan flaps its wings at exactly the right instant.
keep it in mind!
However, stock seat belts are perfectly fine, so if you don't have a good belt / harness situation, keep your stock ones in just in case!!!

a harness that does not extend horizontally back from your shoulders will compact your spine in an impact. harness that are bolted to the floor or lower rear seat belt positions are examples of harness that extend below horizontal. in the event of an impact, as the human body pulls on the non horizontal harness reponds with forces in the x and y directions to restrain the occupant. this is simple physics. the magnitude of the the y direction Force (up /down) is proportional to the angle below horizontal of the rearward straps. this means the greater the downward angle of the straps the more spine compression you are going to get.
ALSO! DO NOT run a harness without a cage or roll bar. in the event of an overturned vehicle the roof will collapse in on the occupant. a normal setbelt is designed to allow the occupants to shift side to side to avoid the collaped roof. in a harness you can NOT move side to side and avoid this. you will break your neck as a result if the roof comes in far enough. the only way to prevent this is the installation of a cage or roll bar that prevents the collapse of the roof.

heres a link on how to properly setup saftey harness.
how to properly install a harness
aslo read the warnings on the first page. they explain that race harnesses are not DOT approved. it also makes me think that the RJS belts arent good quality cause the tabs on the shoulder belts are bent and not welded...hmmm...
