Needed to drift..?
i have a 1990 240sx with stock everthing including the old ka24e,
anyway is the motor important in drifting and is it to hard on a stock motor, becuz i would do a SR20DET swap but then i wouldnt have money for suspension..
could i get my ka24e rebuilt in turboed by some1 ?
which would cost less than a swap and i would have money for supsenion , wheels ...etc

the search function can really help you in this case.
the first thing you should do is just some suspension work. buy one or two extra sets of tires and go to DDay2. youll find that youre not able to push the car to the limits yet. work with that, then go from there.

i agree... its kinda pointless learning on a high powered car. suspension counts for ALOT in drifting... imo, dont waste your time on simple AGX's and springs... go for full coilovers, everything

I can't tell you what a difference it has made since I lowered my car with Eibach Sportlines. I used to have to counter-steer twice, once after beginning the drift then the other direction to control the snap back of the car when it stopped sliding. Since I lowered it though its just one nice smooth slide when hardly any 'snap back'.
Practice is far more important that power when it comes to drifting. My car makes decent power, but I still can't drift worth crap! I gotta learn to drive/drift better, and for that I need practice.
Sounds like you guys that need practice need to come out to DDAY! It's not a competition, its simply a good safe time for people to take their car to it's / their limits.
A totally stock car is awesome. Don't do suspension like super stiff coilovers without also doing a diff. it will actually be harder to drift with coilovers and an open diff than open diff with stock suspension. buy some extra rear tires to use so you dont waste your tires immediately, but instead can keep driving the same day same time same setup with another set of tires to get more seat time.
