even the older little pickups are pretty heavy... Trucks have a full frame and the cab and bed just rest on it and don't provide much structural support, so if you can imagine, frames are heavy and not the greatest in resisting chasssis twist... go ahead if you want, but by design trucks are heavy and don't handle well.

Although I want to drift my truck anyway... lol

My shop truck is a 81 toyota pickup. I have always dremed of converting it in to a drift truck. But like Jeff said it is hard as hell to get the backend to take a different line than the front wheels. Also those thing have a open diff like hell. I am not sure if it's even suposed to be 2 wheel drive or 1. I will try to get some pics up.

I decided to play with the truck (86 toyota turbo sr5) a little and see how well it drifts...

Well, naturally the truck wants to understeer in basicly ANY situation. It seamed like the truck won't oversteer no matter what I did to it, but then I tried going faster... The truck drifts pretty nicely at high speeds. I mean a LOT faster than I usually drift the better handling corolla! It doesn't seam to like combos and it needs a LSD very badly - I can drift my corolla open diff just fine, but this thing one wheel peels like crazy! Oh and the suspention is way to soft...

just thought you guys might be interested on how a stock mid 80's toyota truck drifts...

not in the truck, I don't think I could hit primus with enough speed to drift the truck very well. But yeah I'll be going to dday II driving a hachi, maybe not mine, but yeah...
