Needs a cross bar to attach a harness to IMHO. Looks good, kudos to whoever did the work.

A suggestion for a long lasting finish on it: look up someone who does electro-static appliance painting. Basically, they put some voltage to the cage and spray it with paint that attracts to that voltage from a low output sprayer. Makes it nearly as tough as powdercoating and can come in many colors. Wish I could refer you to someone, but offhand I forgot who used to do that kind of thing back when I worked @ RR.

craig, once i get my seat, and get it mounted the way i want, then i will weld in some harness bars and what not to get it going

 

He said it's DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) so my guess is that it's steel...
