Default Miami Slide?

So....since I couldn't make it, obviously....

I was looking at the pictures. Did you actually use the TRACK? or did you just use a sidelot or something? The pictures look like a parking lot.

And how would you compare this location to SPJC?

it was the pit area of the track, this was the practice, the 'event' is early april, and that will be on the track as far as i know. i liked the size of this place better but the poles in the middle kinda broke it up. but as long as u dont hit the pole, it was nice. the surface was a tire eater though.....

The poles helped make the route of the track...It was where the racers would park their trailers...There was lots of rubber left on the track as the day went on...Even the teg eventually lost its entire tread on the passenger rear tire...

+ We can use the place often

+ There wasn't a set course, you could create your own course as you went through

- Compound sucked

- Far from Tampa

- Less spectators

+/- Less drivers and most were from Tampa (this was actually a good thing for the drivers as we had more time to practice)

Yeah...i thought the less drivers thing was pretty cool, especially as the day wore on and there were only like 2 or three people running, that made the event worth the drive and entry fee. If we only got like 12 runs as in st. pete....I dunno. A large field of entrants is always a mixed blessing imo, but I'm also not running the event/fronting the cash for insurance and site rentals.
