Drifting bandwagon trouble
Dont take this post as arrogance, Ive been drifting for a grand total of like 2 weeks with a $400 automatic S13 and Dday was my first experience drifting on dry ground, but i like the way that the drift scene is small and the people are friendly and are willing to help a newbie learn. But ive been hearing rumors about a new Fast and Furious movie that is based on drifting, I mean just search fast and furious 3 on your browser, the site that comes up at the top of the list is www.drifting.com, I dont want to see the kind of result that the first movie brought, Wal Mart sells big aluminum spoilers now. What do you veteran drifters think about these rumors?
i just got into the drifting thing after trying it out on need for speed underground it looks so koo...but on my game i can drift my front wheel drive civic...why cant i drift my real front wheel drive civic!?!? i been reading up on this stuff on the web...is it all that hard!!?!?! think ima go trade my 2002 civic si for a 89-94 240sx and drop a sr in it... do you guys think thats a good idea!?! hopefully within the next year or two ill be dirfiting d1!!
lmfao!! it's to bad that as dumb as that sounds there is people out there that are thinking that. yea there are going to be people who jump on the bandwagon because of movies, video games etc. soon enough the posers will realize that drifting is harder than driving in a straight line and the fad will soon pass. i just hope that it doesn't come to idiots trying to slide through intersections of busy streets and getting hurt or possible killed or hurting someone else.

Of course u can drift a MR2 havent u seen Initial D yet !!!!! lol
I really dont think drifting is going to be a fad i mean look how long drag racing has been around or stock car racing for that matter i just think that people are going to exploit it for as much money as they can. and all these ppl that are jumping on this so called band wagon will soon realize that drifting takes practice, skill, and lots money and repair time for wear on your car and it dosnt help if u keep hitting stuff
i just hope drifting doesnt get out of hand like street racing has (example: every cop that pulls u over for speeding says u were drag racing just because u have a big loud muffler on your car)
Next cops are going to say they pulled u over cuz u were turning to fast..... lol
