Who wants to start a drift team?
i love the fact that everyone automatically thinks if they have a rwd car that they can drift and should belong to a drift team. I was an outcast for years for sliding around at the "Street Races" and even wasn't allowed on TR. So just because something hits the main stream evey moron thinks they want to be apart of it. I hope that drifting is a fad that passes by so that all you bandwagon jabrones will find something else to amuse yourselves with instead of giving drifters a bad name!!!
end of rant....and if you don't like it you can go F-ck yourself.

or maybe they will just all wreck their cars
either way, it's just ' the popular thing' right now. it will pass, and those that really enjoy it will still be around. either way, we gotta be friends to those people.

well said mattback. ive been into it for a couple years and have allways wanted a corolla but until now that has never been able to happen.kinda bad timing but if u want to do it fuck what every one else says and fuck bandwagons and trends.do what u want to.and dont worry the big hit wont come till the f and f drift movie comes out.
Popular trend or not, what we need is more people looking for legal drift events. More people interested = more drift events! I think we can all agree that this is what we want!
What I don't want is people going out and giving drifting a bad name. So I'm just saying if you want to try it out, I'll take you somewhere safe where you won't be wrecking your car and causing trouble getting all of us busted.
Many people will find this is not for them. This is one sport that takes a lot of skill and practice, and is a sport that you WILL damage your car, so show cars need not apply.
Most rwd cars can be setup to drift pretty easily. We are just having fun here - Thats what drifting is all about.

i like what bill said. hes right.
im not a drifter... im a poseur.
i just like to go sideways thru intersections when no one is around, or when the man is no where to be seen.
i dont even like drifting infront of people i know. its more for myself rather than status. as opposed to peoples who broadcast their driftery and pseudo drift-skills with catchy one-liners, neato user ID's and cool GIF/JPEG sigs and avatars. its liek the folks who want to jump on the band wagon want everyone to know they are associated w/ the current trend... like if someone wants to join the import scene, the first mods are a muffler, big wing, and stickers... just so they can advertise that they are Hardcore Import racers.
Drift; Do it for the love of the game not the status symbol.
i dont need no steenking team to have fun going sideways or team members to impress.

I know what you mean though though, drift for the fun, not the status. I think it can be a lot more fun to do go drifting in a group. You feed off everyones vibes and it's encouraging to see people pull off some sweet drifts.
I don't like compedative drifting. I like how the "club 4ag drift days" are setup on the west coast - everyone is there just trying to have fun. The more advanced people inspire the newbies and try to help them out. There's no "I'm better than you are" feeling at all. (I used to live in california and attended a few drift days) Thats what we need here, Not exclusive clubs competeing against each other trying to be ranked as the best.
