So how was it?
i too thought it was a STREET RACING thinglike to try and keep people from racing on the streets
why the fuck do the race or pro cars come out?
oh i know whythey can just jump in front of everybody else whenever they are ready to run and that is bullshit.
we pay 8 bucks they pay 8 bucks why should they go before us just cuz they are faster?
that damn van ran 4 times while my friend waited in line 45 minutes to fuckin run.
and that black vette Vs the blue hatchthey ran oncefucked upthen 4 more racesthen they ran again. whats up with that?
seems like the track people dont care about the slower cars.
they should make the rules a lil stricter
drive it to the track
put on ur slicks or whatever
race it
drive it home (if it dont break)
period
dont get me wrongid rather see a 12 than a 17but the faster cars all run N/T. and then againwe all have to wait in line while they just jump ahead of everyone.

ya i knew the kid...his name is chris. we rode there together with a group of friends. his radiator hose frayed and blew so it was smoking and when he popped the hood he thought all the pressure was gone so he opned the radiator cap and got 2nd degree burns on his face. he is in the intensive care burn unit for 3 days. it was a stupid mistake. i went to the hospital and they said that he will look normal again in about a month or two. did anyone remember that all-motor civic that ran a 12.20. that bitch was crazy.

Its just my opinion that this was set up as a street racing event and every time the envelope gets pushed more and more. Wartch next time we will be seeing sponsored pro street cars.
And what high horse are those pro street guys on?? They think just because they are fast they dont have to wait in line with everyone else. Just because they dont feel like waiting in line they can just jump ahead? They talk about not like waiting for the 16 second cars to go well they take longer than 16 seconds with all their staging and burnout box shit. In my mind just because they are faster doesnt mean shit they should still have to wait in line just like everyone else.
There was a guy in a white mustang who was beating that yellow van but where was he lined up at??? Right in line where everyone else was where all the other fast cars should have been.
And as far as paying the bills I think they didnt pay jack last night compared to the amount of slower cars as they would say it did.

O.k. lets hope you read all of this. You guys are obviously not reading what I am posting.
Just because there is not another track around doent mean you dangle that over the heads of the pro or faster cars. Ever heard the phrase piss off one person they will tell ten others make one person happy and they will tell one friend ?
The pro cars have the connections and bring other pro cars. That is not to belittle the non-race cars they are important to it is just simply the truth.
If you dont allow certain people in to race that means you have to draw a line somewhere and so where do you draw the line ? Tell people no trailored cars and they will park at the Hess station and drive in. Tell them no slicks and you will have cars that do not normally run street tires all over the track. You people just dont get it when it comes to running a track. Why should the slower (non-pro/race cars) get a complete night to themselves ? It is not like there are 20-30-40 trailored cars showing up to these events. If that was the case the owners would address it immediatley. But you wont get that many trailored cars to show up trust me !
Do they have a day or night when they say no 14 second and up e.t. cars allowed ? Nope. But guess what they are working on a day like this right now. And then guess what you guys will be bitching about why cant we race on this night ? No one wins when you draw a line somewhere. Get it now ?
And how many pro / race cars really show up at 1320 ? Less than ten ? Compared to how many of the others ? Exactly ! So they should not have to wait in line. Especially since they do not make run after run after run like everyone else.
They are not testing and tunning there cars at 1320. They do not get timeslips and that is what these guys need to tune there cars. They are out there to put on a show. And yes some of them ARE street raced ! Trust me I know first hand.
Anymore questions ? Not trying to be a dick here but everyone just looks at this from THEIR prospective not everyones.

I kind of agree with Fordman there werent alot of trailor cars there and if there were 40 I start to bitch.
I kind of wish the lanes would go quicker but oh well and the guy that was helping to set people up to race did a good job also I thought.
Yeah change the station to like 97.1 or even 93.3

but didnt the track people set this up as a street night?
from what i understand thats what its supposed to be.
speaking of drawing lines who drew the line to say whos car is fast enough to not have to wait in line?
i think a 13s and under night/day would be cool but then ud have the slow people wanting a 13s and up night.
i remember reading a thread on here(i think) about the fast guys wanting a slicks only nightsomething about radial tires messin up the track and all that and the long lines of family cars waiting to run.
from the pro peoples prospective
pay 8 bucks to get in run when u want dont have to wait in line its night time which is cooler and its long enough to tinker with the car.
HELL MUTHAFUCKIN YA id gocant blame em.
i see where ur comin from fordman they dont wanna discriminate against the fast guys and i dont run at 1320 just cuz of the lines.

I understand your point fordman and it works the same way. Piss the peopel off and they wont come. But see you piss of the slow cars by letting the pro people get away with anything then guess what? You will be losing alot more people then just a few pro cars. I think there were alot more slow cars there. Its not that I really have a problem with them running there as long as there is only a few but to me they have no special priveledges to not have to wait in Line. They should have to wait in line just like everyone else we all pay the same 8 bucks and just cause they are faster shouldnt give them extra priveledges. And dont give me the crap if you dont satisfy there every wish they will tell all there friends not to run here. Like I said there isnt a track around here that is 1/4 mile so they can tell all the friends they want they still will come here.

Once again you do not dangle the fact that there are no other tracks near by as a reason not to worry about the pro guys. As we all know they have trailors and they WILL and have been going elsewhere regardless of what you think.. If the track went about this the way you suggest why not just keep doing what they are doing because given the long lines of street cars and non-race cars people are obviously still showing up given the lines? Wait thats what they are doing and people are still coming out.
On the other hand the amount of pro cars or race cars that are fun to watch and bring spectators in have been on the decline at ALL of the events and T n Ts. Why ? Because the track on any given day or event is getting over-run with grocery getters and riced out cars which is chasing off the pro-race cars and spectators. Non-race cars are a needed commodity but they are starting to get excessive on any given day.

I guess you really do not understand the faster cars. First off night time is terrible for the pro cars becasue there is no heat in the track which makes getting traction terrible especially when it is cooler out. These guys could care less about the cost given the money in their cars.
But you are right on one thing they do tinker some between rounds which means one thing they are not pulling right back in line after a run like all the other cars which is making the lines long and is the very reason why we are having this discussion.

more and more people are gettin into racing ya it sucks that we have to watch the 18s go down the track but we all started somewhere (and when u start with a 4cylu got a longer ways to go)
with the heat and track makes sense ive never thought about it (awd).
i wish people would tinker with their cars inbetween runs maybe they could actually make improvements in times but most hardly have a K&N air filter much less some sort of tuning device.
i still dont agree with them just jumpin in line and runnin whenever they please.
