Just wanting to guage the local interst in having a drag class at a 1/4 mile strip for 4 cylinders. Like $30 tech card and $ or trophy payout. How many people would be interested in this. Let me know what prices sound good and what payoffs would be fair. I know there is a lot of 4 cylinder cars at the local tracks, lets get together and race!!!! Thanks for the read.

 

What drag strip are you going to have this show down at?
Are you going to organize it?
Where is the payout coming from?

These would be good guestions to address before you go getting everybody wound up about a track event.

 

If i was just gonna hold an event i wouldn't have called it gauging interest now would eye? I would have said hey everyone we are starting a 4 cylinder class, but that is not what i said. It is going to be a local 1/4 mile track. Payouts would be just like any other racing the more the pay in the more the payout. If the tech cards are 30 then maybe 200-300 for first. But all this depends on the number of attendies. If two hundred people put in 30 dollers then the winner is gonna get a lot more than $200. I just want to see if people are interested or not.

 

Have you even checked into track rental yet? Look Einstein it might be a good idea to say something like hey it will cost this much to rent this track. Therefore if there is X amount of people willing to participate I will set this up. Whose interested? Just trying to give you a little advice pal. What you do with it is up to you. BTW it's I not eye.

I did write a pretty mean paper back in the day. Besides I chose all my races at the last track day. I have a 4 cyl. He could challenge me.

 

its a good idea at heart but you may as well just hand the money over to qitstrn or 60-1ek. I dont think there are any other 4 cyl around here that are near those two.

 

Theres a little yellow Mirage around town thats been stayin on the down low lately... Little birdy on my shoulder says he aint gettin any slower either
