I would love that job, I'd do it for free. "Oh, you thought it was faster, it's not, get the fuck out!" "You beat your buddy that ran a 9.0, he probably felt sorry for you and let you win, get the fuck out!" "You thought that 4 inch exhaust tip would get you in the 9's? You were wrong, get the fuck out!" "you probably would have hit 9's if you didn't have that twin blade air brake mounted on your trunk, get the fuck out!" "Next time attach the bottle to something, I know, it looks fast, get the fuck out!" "It would have probably been fast enough had you actually bought the V-8 version, not put duals on a 4/6 cylinder, get the fuck out!" "Do you want me to call your mom and tell her you're here with her car? Get the fuck out!" I could go on for days

How about you have to be able to run 10's in the 1/8th to run. Thats slow and you dont belong at the track.
That would be great.
They could also weed out people without insurance on street cars I know there are some kids out there like that.

Why? Some race cars don't have insurance. Insurance isn't something that's required to run at the race track, I don't see why it should be either since if you have it and you wreck their they will laugh at you if you try to file a claim.

Seems like you have been waiting for a job like this to come around for a while. I got alot more "get the fuck outs" then I would have expected in such a short time frame of the reply.

What would be nice is if there was a race track that cared more about racers and their cars and the spirit of racing more then how many people they can pack in in one night and how much fatter they can make their wallet.

A street car doesn't have to be street legal. I know of alot of street cars that don't have insurance. Doesn't mean it's not a street car, just means they don't want to pay insurance or don't have insurance for certain reasons. Doesn't make it any less of a street car to me.

So your telling me if I go buy a volvo and don't insure it it's not a street car?

BTW whats your cobra run? I wan't to see if it's fast enough to run at my future imaginary track.

AND it would be a 1/4mile track, not that gay 1/8th mile crap.

He is talking about people that are driving their cars on the street without insurance. The cobra is plenty quick to be on your imaginary track. Ofcourse JL could always bring back the L. I still do agree with JL about the race cars running too many times. Yes I realize it doesn't take as long to run them, so run through the race cars once, and then run through the street cars. On the nights that there are too many street cars, they don't need to run through all of them once. Another thing that would really help, is to limit the number of street cars that come to the track.

+1, but less profit for the track.

Maybe charge 20 instead of 15 and limit the cars.
