It's time to go racing!
Well everyone, I will be leaving to go to Tennesse tomorrow for the Hot Rod Pump Gas Drags. I can't wait to get on the road. The race is in Memphis on Saturday. We are leaving around 8pm and driving through the night. We should be getting in sometime around 11am. The track we will be racing at will be open that night for regular test and tune. Hot Rod will be there to take photos and meet everyone who shows early. Maybe I will get a chance to see some of the competion run.
Friday is the tech-in day. That is being held at Comp Cams and will take most of the day for all the cars. After the car is tech'd in they will be draining the fuel and filling them up with their spec 93 octane. All the cars have to remain locked up at Comp cams over night. CC will be giving tours of their facility which should be cool. Maybe they will be giving out free stuff? Friday night Hot Rod has organized a cruise at the local Sonic(go figure) for all of the other cars and the locals who show.
Saturday is the 30-50 mile drive and the race. After everything is done at the track we will go clean up and get ready for the baddest night of cruise I will ever expriance. Lets think about it for a moment; 50 of the fastest street cars in america gathered together in one small town with racing on the mind. I would pay to have thing kind of fun! When we wake in the morning we will set off for home.
I have seen some of the cars in the race at forcedpsi.com and I certainly don't think I will be the fastest car there. As long as I don't break and make three clean passes I will be happy with however the results come out. I really think this weekend is about fun and hanging out with your good friends. I am sure I will have some good stories and some great pictures to post when I return.

We are here! fourteen hours in the same car with Floyd, Scott, John and Fredy. Not evryone is here yet but the 64'nova on the cover of this months HR is parked next to me.
