Does anyone know? I am talking about local Z06's. Not the ones on ls1tech.com or ls1.com or the www.corvetteforum.

Richard you are mean. I am just wondering if ANY of the local Z06's have ventured to the track. I hear most of them talking about what their car should run. It especially bothers me when they only want to run the 1/4th at our secret track and they try to decide what mph they think their car would trap at the 1/4th mile mark. Basically guessing. I would guess with the avg driver low 12's to high 11's at around 120mph..

I ran one with just boltons I think last year. He was running 12.3's to my 12.2's. He had BFG dr's and was getting a good launch but I'd get him out of the hole and hold him off to the stripe but he'd be coming pretty hard. His traps were a little higher than mine N/A.

I don't see why a properly set up H&C Z06 shouldn't run mid 11's or better but the missing ingredient is the driver.

well for comparison, I have a LS1 vette and with just a mid duration split cam I should be at low 12's high elevens, proabably around 115-118 mph depending on the weather. I can run anywhere from a 12.7-13.1 on stock run-flats right now. Everything on my car is stock except for the filter and the mufflers. With a good set of drag radials I should be at a 12.5 if the moons are aligned and the weather is around 60 degrees or below.

Trapping 115-118 you should be low, low 12 to high 11's.

Yeah I'm looking forward to those trap speeds, but I need to polish my launching skills some more. I've already driven a C5 with the same cam that I'm looking at getting and I fell in love with it, so amazingly faster than my car! I have to wait a few months because I'm deploying soon so I won't be able to get it until I get back. This just gives me more time to plan, I guess.

I saw a yellow z06 with a badass flame job running 12.0x at 120 or so last time I went to T&T at BMP. think it was just a bolt-on car though with those 18" BFG DR's

Just to put it in perspective from a local Z06 at a local track. I have only raced my car at the track like a total of 5 passes and have little experience driving. When my car had just bolt ons(shifter/intake/full exhaust) it dynoed at 370 RWHP and 364RWTQ in summer time. I ran(on stock tires and tire pressure, 85 degree heat):

60'..............2.043
330'............5.412
1/8.............8.131
MPH............91.84
1000'..........10.440
1/4.............12.368
MPH...........116.74
A heads/Cam Z06 should easily make 430HP to the wheels, but in all likelyhood would make in the 450 RWHP range if you chose a somewhat aggressive setup.
So take my time, add ~60-80 RWHP and perhaps some sticky tires and a nice 1.7-1.8 60' time and that's where you would stand I think. Naturally, results may vary. My car is very hard to launch but once its rolling its a bitch to keep up with
