no one was caring who built it... it the power adder battle (nitrious vs other power adders), no one cared who built it....

 

This is the reason for the build your own car comment. I am well aware it is about nos vs. other power adders. As far as that goes, nitrous always was ,is and will be the cheapest way to make the same power as the others. It really is not anything that needs debating it is all a matter of choice , all ending with the same result... more speed

 

well yup you caught me i had a proformance shop built my car, time for the hanging , basicly i wanted my car built right and thats what i got, im happy and i also had no headaches which is always a plus

Hey, I'll be the first to admit that I had the bottom end of my last motor built and this one I bought was already together (had Rob @ fordspeed go through it though). When you get to a certain level you want an expert because if anything goes wrong due to ignorance it costs a HELL of a lot more than your average bolt on motor does to fix....

 

I agree, but I think they were referring to paying someone to bolt on the bolt ons.

True, but I look back at all the things I fucked up on, and I can honestly say I have learned from it all. IMHO I would rather get help, maybe even pay someone to help me rather than just drop the car off, that way, you will learn from it rather than just have a fast car you can't work on. If something goes wrong at the track, on the street, whatever, I like being able to dive in and at least know what I am dealing with rather than stand there shrugging my shoulders. Then there's that thing called the feeling of accomplishment, there really isn't much else like it. But, maybe it's just me.

 

Its just you Billy otherwise the auto industry would quit building performance cars. However the sence of accomplishment while whooping somebody's ass is a bonus.
